forget, all without intruding upon the event itself, and without poses, staginess, or clichés. The photographs from our wedding are utterly unique. They look like no other wedding photos that we have ever seen. They are the best and most original wedding photographs that we have ever seen. And we never even saw you taking most of them.

When we received the proofs from our wedding, we were stunned and dismayed. They were too good. Our understanding was that, in a batch of shots, there would be a few standouts. Instead, there were hundreds. There were only a few shots we could imagine living without, and so many that we were grateful you had taken. The process of assembling our wedding album could have been stressful and tense, but somehow, sitting and going over the photographs with you both was a pleasure. Working on the album with you was just like taking photos at the wedding itself-relaxed and fun.

Our album is our most precious material possession. We cannot wait to hear our childrens’ responses years from now when they see it.

Looking at our beautiful album, it is hard not to be a little smug. Compared to the artistry, the personal quality, the eccentric individual quirkiness of our album, other people’s wedding albums look mass produced, like fast-food. Thanks to you we have exactly the memento of our wedding that we dreamed of, and the memory of a process that was a dream as well.
